The two photographed pairs are ready to ship earrings. Once sold out, I will turn this listing into pre-orders.
The urn of the sea was inspired by a pair of antique urn and shell earrings from the 1800s I happened to come across. Urns are traditionally depicted symbols in mourning jewelry, as they serve as the final resting place of the dearly departed. I created these urns as my own, to further channel the sea and oceanic lament.
The shells have post earring backs with butterfly push closures. The urns are hollow forms, fabricated painstakingly by hand complete with small handles on the sides. Each urn has ocean waves engraved on it.
The urn of the sea earrings have two different sizes. The white drop baroque pearls are the minis, and the grey pearls are standard. Each type is cultured freshwater.
The standard size urns have the additional options of the larger baroque white pearl drops or kyanite tear drops (available as pre-orders only).
Crafted entirely by hand and flame of sterling silver.
For pre-orders: these earrings can be made into hook intstead of post back. Just reach out if you need something else.
