The center stone of this gem is a very dark star garnet. Rest assured, once you  view this gemstone under a bright, direct light it reveals its star secret. The "star" pattern of this star garnet is more X shaped, but thoroughly enchanting to watch. This spectacular stone is the only one I could think appropriate as the inspiration for this necklace: my black hellebore plant that finally bloomed after years of caring for it.

Tiny hellebore flower motifs dance along the round garnet, with three grey moonstones accenting the piece. The back features engravings of a death's head moth with hellebore flowers.
