These firefly friends are for keeping summer hovering by your ears. They are detailed on each side, to include their wings and wing shields, as well as their faces and little feets. These earrings have two different stone types to choose from for the "fire"/ "lightning" to the lightning bug: ethiopian opal or peridot.
Crafted by hand and flame with sterling silver.
Ear wires are also made by hand out of sterling silver wire. I do not include backings on my ear hook earrings.
Please note: opal requires more care than other gems! It is easy to scratch, and prone to soaking up water, which can alter its coloration drastically. If your earrings are exposed to water I recommend giving them a rest in a safe dry space for an extended period of time to work on drying. Moisture absorbing packets are your friends with opals! I won't tell you how to live your life with your jewelry, but if your opals (temporarily) lost their color its likely due to water.
