A most sculptural pendant. This three dimensional night blooming datura moonflower hangs from a leafy vine stem.
I created this item by first starting a wax carving of a datura flower. A mold was created from the wax, and the carving was cast out of it. Once the flower was cast in sterling silver I added on handmade and hand carved silver leaves and a stem to the flower for a more true to form branch of a datura plant.
I’ve added a photo of the necklace with a us quarter for sense of its size. It is solid sterling silver, and hangs from a sterling silver chain in your choice of length. The flower stem has been oxidized to darken the details, then is polished for shining highlights.
